Anitech will launch the latest in its range of Seiko wide-format, mild-solvent inkjet printers, the Seiko ColorPainter W on May 4 at the Visual Impact Image Exo 2011 exhibition.

Engineered to use the Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP) free IX inks, the machine has been designed specifically for low-solvent, low odour signage and digital printing applications.

The ColorPainter W series is available in two sizes, the W-64s - 64 inches wide, and the W-54s - 54 inches wide.  There are two colour configurations for each size, 4 colour for lower running cost and 6 colour for enhanced image quality. The combination of 6 new high speed print heads, two types of ink and several new innovative printing functions increases the printer’s performance and widens the printer’s application range for the signage and digital printing market.

Colorpainter_W_SeriesThe ColorPainter W-64s will receive its global debut at the ISA 2011 show in Las Vegas on April 28 followed by Visual Impact Image Expo 2011 show in Sydney from May 4 to 6 and will ship worldwide from the end of April 2011.

“This is a real coup for Anitech.” says Barry Grant, Anitech’s general manager marketing “We will have a machine on our stand at VIIE and anyone who wants to see the latest in green, wide format printing is invited to view the new ColorPainter W-64 in action.”

Seiko ColorPainter W series features:

  • High-speed on-demand piezo print heads
  • New high-speed on-demand piezo print heads give the ColorPainter W series unmatched flexibility in speed and image quality with excellent colour density up to 17.8 sqm/h (W-64s) and a maximum imaging resolution of 900 x 900 dpi.
  • New HAP free IX ink and reloadable cartridge holder design
  • The IX ink is the first low-solvent, low odour ink without hazardous air pollutants (HAP). This revolutionary HAP free green ink, when combined with the new reloadable cartridge holder design, will make a significant impact on the environment by eliminating HAPs and reducing environmental waste.
  • Dynamic Dot Printing (DDP) Technology
  • The new print heads can jet 3 different drop sizes per print pass,  each ink droplet volume is 12, 24 or 36pl enabling the printer to run at high speeds without density loss. DDP was developed specifically to produce outdoor graphics at high speed, indoor graphics with excellent image quality or vivid and high colour density backlit graphics.
  • Smart Nozzle Mapping: This new feature allows the operator to re-map print head nozzles in the event of a clogged nozzle. Depending on the clogging conditions, a user can remap up to 10 print head nozzles per print head without any speed or quality loss - reducing print head replacements by a considerable factor.
  • Smart Pass Technology 3: The new generation of the Smart Pass Technology allows more sophisticated interleaving technology to take print finishing to the highest quality yet.
  • EG-Outdoor GX inks: With GX high pigment content inks, sign manufacturers can reduce running costs while maintaining excellent colour density and outdoor durability thanks to the GX ink’s concentrated content and low usage formula.
  • CP Manager: CP Manager is a printer control software program bundled free with all ColorPainter W series printers. The  software enables an operator to review the printer status and correct print requirements on-the-fly directly from a PC.
  • ONYX RIP Center software included

All ColorPainter W series printers are supplied with a special edition of ONYX RIP Center software.
