Epson’s Business Unit Manager, Craig Heckenberg, said Epson printers, inks and media are renowned throughout the graphic arts, sign and display and photography professions for their reliable, efficient and high quality reproduction of wide colour gamut, colour accuracy, and smooth tonal transitions.
“We will be demonstrating to all visitors to stand 1208 how easy it is to get extremely high quality results for specific purposes from each of our large format printers,” said Craig.
“Epson has an enviable printing reputation that will be backed up by the quality of output people see on our stand at PrintEx11.”
Featured will be the Epson Stylus® Pro WT7900, the world’s first water-based white ink package proofer, an affordable, low maintenance proofer that produces high quality, colour accurate package proofs on both clear and opaque substrates.
Unlike other conventional package proofing systems, the Pro WT7900 is capable of rapidly producing an A2 package proof in less than 16 minutes using a uni-directional, 720x1440dpi print mode. This dramatic decrease in production time to around half the time of competitor models makes the Pro WT7900 a perfect solution for high volume printing environments.
Visitors will also see signs produced by Epson’s durable graphics printer, the Epson Stylus® Pro GS6000, a 64 inch eight colour photo quality printer with extremely wide colour gamut using UltraChrome GS, a ground breaking solvent based ink that is nickel-free and has fewer harmful VOC (volatile organic compounds) than other solvent based inks. The Pro GS6000 comes with a 3 year on-site warranty including all parts and labour.
Other printers working on the stand during PrintEx11 include the Epson Stylus® Pro 9900, a 44–inch large format printer that delivers high quality images and colour along with increased productivity; the Epson Stylus® Pro 7890, a 24–inch (610mm) eight colour printer using Epson’s UltraChrome K3 Ink with Vivid Magenta to generate outstanding gamut cover on all prints; the Epson Stylus® Pro 4900, a 10 colour printer using Epson’s UltraChrome HDR ink set (11 colours loaded on the printer) that achieves 98% PANTONE® coverage; and the Epson Stylus Pro 7700, a high quality, super fast, four colour large format printer for accurate reproduction of architectural drawings and colour presentations, engineering plans, spatial data maps, and attention-grabbing point-of-sale displays.
Epson will also have a wide range of information and print samples from the Epson SurePress L-4033A, a highly versatile short-run digital label press designed to print labels efficiently and profitably.
The Epson SurePress is designed for label converters taking the first steps into digital printing or expanding their existing digital printing capacity, as well as general commercial printers looking to add digital label printing to their portfolio of services.
