In a once only presentation, Sepiax Ink’s Asian boss Stewart Partridge will discuss “how water-based resin inks will change the digital printing landscape” at the Visual Impact Image Expo 2011 forums in May 2011.

Based in Shanghai and sponsored by Anitech, Mr Partridge is currently sales director, Asia Pacific Region for two leading European inkjet ink manufacturers: Sepiax Ink Technologies of Austria – the pioneers of “water-based resin ink technology - and Chimigraf Ibérica SL.  He also acts as a Technical Consultant to Sepiax’s Austrian HQ.

The forum will be on Thursday 5 May from 3.00pm – 4.00pm and Stewart will outline the impact of the arrival of new water-based resin inks, describing how they will develop and, over time, revolutionise the digital market.

Formerly Mr Partridge was the sales director for Asia Pacific for the US-owned ink manufacturer Nazdar, following on from his earlier role of OEM and business development director. He was the prime instigator of the acquisition of the Lyson digital ink business by Nazdar.  Prior to that, for 13 years Mr Partridge managed Web Consulting, a respected global consulting business for the digital printing industry, with research offices in Shanghai China, Oxford UK and Boston USA.

Stewart is well known to many in Australia and New Zealand and during his career he has spoken at more than 170 conferences worldwide, written over 125 articles and 25 reports on the development and evolution of digital printing and provided consultancy services to many leading manufacturers of digital printing equipment, inks and hardware.

The groundbreaking interview in which he described the virtues of Sepiax inks was published last year in Wide Format Online and can be viewed by clicking here.

In the Visual Impact Image Expo forum, discussion topics will be wide ranging and include:
• Challenges to making water-based inks that “stick to anything”
• How does the new technology really compare with solvent, eco-solvent, bio-solvent, UV-curable, and traditional aqueous inks?
• What can the technology do?  And what can it not do?  How/where/why can you use it in your business today?
• A vision of the future digital landscape.
