Everything is falling into place for what organisers believe will be one of the most glittering National Print Awards Presentations ever held.

The 28th National Print Awards Presentation Dinner, to be held on Thursday May 5 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour, is the culmination of a competition which has drawn together the work of Australia’s most stellar print providers.

Each entry in this year’s Awards has already been judged ‘best of category’ in its State or Territory print recognition awards – now, the 86 companies involved in their production wait to find out if they are ‘the best of the best’.
At the dinner, Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards will be announced and the stars of the industry celebrated, in an event which promises to be one of the highlights of both the national printing industry calendar and of PrintEx11, the year’s leading print and design expo, which runs from 4-6 May at the SCEC.

“Every year, print service providers from around the country ‘shoot for the stars’ – not for awards or recognition, but in order to deliver the best products and service to their customers,” says NPA Chairman John Wanless.
“The National Print Awards was formed in 1984 to recognise and encourage the achievement of excellence in print and, while the industry has changed markedly since then, the qualities required to achieve excellence – creativity, commitment and dedication – remain constant. It is these things we recognise at the National Print Awards Presentation.”

Final preparations for the night’s format and entertainment are still to be announced, however invitations are now circulating throughout the industry and also available on the new National Print Awards website, launched last week.
“The National Print Awards Presentation Dinner is the perfect opportunity to meet with colleagues and friends, to see the best our industry has to offer, and to celebrate the achievement of excellence,” says Wanless.

“It’s the perfect way to make the most of your time while you’re in Sydney for PrintEx11 and, with a sumptuous three-course meal and outstanding entertainment planned, it’s also the ideal event to bring your clients along to.”

Given the event’s timing in the middle of PrintEx11, tickets for the Dinner – which have been kept to $160 a head – are expected to be in high demand.
