Halifax Vogel Group (HVG) has today opened a new distribution centre in Perth for its group of importing and distribution companies.

Located in Bibra Lake in the city’s southern suburbs, the 1,500 square metre office and warehouse complex will serve as the West Australian base for all HVG divisions, including SmartStone, Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm Australia.
Replacing premises at Bayswater, the state-of-the-art complex will provide greater space and facilities for the distribution of the group’s diverse product range, which includes aluminium composite material, graphics media, industrial fabrics, decorative building products, engineered stone and exhibition systems.

“The opening of this office and warehouse complex give our WA team a much improved and spacious working environment as well as a much larger warehouse and represents a significant investment in the future growth of our group and brands in Western Australia,” said Bruce Rayment, Chief Executive Officer, HVG.

“The complex will allow us to increase the inventory we hold in Perth and improve the efficiency of our distribution to provide improved service levels to customers.”
HVG announced its purchase of the 6,000 square metre site in October 2009.

This week’s opening follows the opening of the group’s new 8,000 square metre premises in Melbourne in January.

“Like the Melbourne site, the new complex in Perth features an Alucobond clad office area and enough land for further warehouse expansion in the future,” said Mr Rayment.
