Faced with more restrictive 'closed loop' design-to-print offerings announced at drupa, Adobe Express users can now design and order printed products with new add-ons, built in partnership with Adobe Express Embed SDK partners. Adobe says its growing open partner ecosystem will be available to any printer, anywhere and not restricted to any one brand of press network.
Adobe has announced that it will offer Adobe Express users the ability to design and order printed products with add-ons that are built in partnership with Adobe Express Embed SDK partners and are accessible through the add-on marketplace. The open ecosystem framework is designed to enable Adobe Express customers to design print-ready content that can be fulfilled with the right fidelity for their needs, while providing developers, integrators and print service providers with the ability to offer unique value to their own customers and connect with new audiences.
“We’ve designed an open ecosystem print strategy to provide our customers and our partners with the best of all worlds,” said Aubrey Cattell, VP Developer Platform and Partner Ecosystem. “Our vision is to make it easy for Adobe Express users to create any print product they can dream of, ordered and delivered anywhere in the world by a network of print providers with any print option they can imagine. We are also opening the doors wide for our partners, empowering them to connect with millions of new users and provide their own customers with seamless access to Adobe’s industry-leading creative technologies in an easy-to-use app.”
Open choice Print for a global creative community
Adobe Express, the all-in-one AI content app, is an open platform and a growing partner ecosystem focused on the needs of global businesses of every size. With the launch of our new print offering, we’re partnering with Zazzle to offer a curated print service and ensure a delightful end-to-end customer experience — starting in the U.S. We’re also enabling a growing ecosystem of print partners like Pixels.com (print on demand) and Silicon Publishing (export for print production integrators), all of which are available directly within Adobe Express.
Any provider can join the Adobe Express add-on marketplace to scale their reach — meeting marketers, communicators and small business owners where they create. An approachable “in-app” developer experience offers helpful resources and powerful APIs allowing developers to create custom workflows that target specific customer pain points.
Adobe Express Embed SDK brings easy design and editing capabilities to any environment.
With the Adobe Express Embed SDK, developers, integrators and print service providers everywhere can offer their customers the ability to easily create and edit designs for flyers, posters, cards, invitations, business cards and more with access to hundreds of thousands of Adobe world-class templates, fonts and stock images within their own platforms.
Adobe is looking to our print partners to help addresses a variety of use cases, including: (1) enterprise-specific needs (e.g. integrations to support preferred supplier relationships), (2) geo-specific print needs, and (3) more bespoke/niche use cases, especially B2B use cases.
