Training delivered online conveniently in the comfort of your own office and heavily subsidised to slash the cost to business is the latest industry innovation from Future Print.

The first course to be offered is a Certificate IV in Business Sales.
According to Future Print Business Advisor, Peter Barnet, the resulting courses combine quality, convenience and competitive cost to create “an unmissable opportunity”.
“Today’s busy and ultra-competitive environment makes it imperative to keep your skills and your business performance up to the mark, yet it can also make finding the time and money for training harder than ever,” he said. “This is where Future Print Online Training can help.”
“These new courses make the most of current delivery methods to provide convenient training options which minimise the time commitment required, enable trainees to stay in their place of work rather than travel to a central training location thereby minimising any impact on the business’ productivity and profitability.
"The subsidies provided through Future Print make these courses arguably the most cost-competitive our industry has ever seen.”
The first online offering, a Certificate IV in Business Sales offered through leading sales training provider Australian Academy of Sales, begins next Tuesday, 6 October.
Normally the cost is $3000 plus GST, but for small to medium businesses (under 100 employees) registered with Future Print, government subsidies will reduce the cost to just $990 – or $99 a month from October to August.
Unsurprisingly, Julie Tymms from AAS reports that places are filling fast, with those already registered including not only traditional sales staff, but a range of people who have direct contact with business clients, from production and reception staff, to managing directors and CEOs.
“This is an exciting opportunity to empower sales professionals, managers, business owners and other ‘front line’ staff to improve their performance and get better results than ever before,” she says.
“In this comprehensive course, we’ll take participants through every aspect of successful sales, from identifying and addressing their own strengths and weaknesses in selling, to learning new techniques, sales psychometrics and behaviours, and a range of ‘how tos’ – how to qualify and engage prospects, how to implement effective strategies and improve presentation, how to handle objections and resolve concerns and, of course, how to effectively close a sale.
“Each month on a Tuesday morning, registered participants will log in to a training session delivered by one of our experts, who will be available for questions and discussions to ensure trainees fully understand the month’s course content. Those who miss a session for any reason will be able to access a recording to catch up.
“It’s the perfect course for sales people who want to lift their confidence, gain valuable new skills and improve their performance, but it’s also ideal for virtually anyone who has contact with your customers because, in today’s competitive market, every one of your people has to be a sales professional to ensure you are making the most of market opportunity.”
The Business Sales course is just the first of a number of online options soon to be offered by Future Print, with courses in areas including digital marketing and web development, colour management and innovation also in the final stages of development.
For now, however, the focus is on ensuring the industry makes the most of the opportunity offered by this first course – and for his part, Barnet is blunt: “This is quite simply the best opportunity most businesses in our industry will ever have to harness the power of high quality sales training to improve their business,” he says. “For the commitment of just three hours a month, in front of your own computer in your own office, and an investment of a mere $99 a month, it’s a no-brainer!”
