Epson has released the Epson Stylus Photo RX610 all-in-one and Epson Stylus Photo R290 single function printer, both designed, they say, for fast printing of documents and photos without compromising on quality.
Both printers use six colour Epson Claria photographic ink for high quality document printing and ultra high definition photos with richness, depth and clarity. Claria's dye-based formulation boasts exceptional light reflection characteristics to ensure prints have superior colour vibrancy. When combined with genuine Epson photo paper the quality is superior to that of photo lab prints.
The printers have six individual Intellidge colour ink cartridges, so consumers replace only the ink cartridges that are used for cost effective printing.
With fast print speeds up to 38ppm, and borderless 4x6 inch photo printing in as little as 12 seconds, both printers are efficient and productive in both home or small office environments.
Using Epson's advanced MicroPiezo print head and Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) with Resolution Performance Management (RPM), the Stylus Photo RX610 and Stylus Photo R290 are capable of printing various ink droplet sizes from as small as 1.5 picolitres, at a resolution of up to 5760 optimised dpi, resulting in high quality printing in less time.
Both the Stylus Photo RX610 and Stylus Photo R290 feature Epson PhotoEnhance a utility that enables consumers to produce the optimum print every time by automatically adjusting the colour balance to allow for the different requirements of portraits, landscapes or groups. In addition, both models also come with PortraitEnhance to detect faces in an image and enhance face definition and skin radiance to ensure beautiful, natural skin tones.
The Stylus Photo RX610 is capable of PC-free photo printing, copying and scanning, thanks to a 2.5 inch LCD viewer with simple menus offering easy viewing, selecting, copying and printing of photos without a computer, as well as a multi-format memory card reader for simplified photo management.
For added ease of use, the Stylus Photo RX610 supports PictBridge, for fast and effortless PC-free digital printing of high quality photographs directly from a digital camera.
The Stylus Photo RX610 and Stylus Photo R290 allow you to customise your CDs and DVDs with Epson's direct-to-surface CD/DVD printing feature for a personal touch.
Included with the Stylus Photo RX610 and Stylus Photo R290 is a USB cable for immediate out-of box usage. The Stylus Photo RX610 also comes with a multi-format memory card reader.
