After four and a half years of service in Australia and New Zealand, Director of Canon Professional Print, Simon Wheeler has accepted a position in London as director of Photo Production Printing in Canon’s European headquarters, in his native home of the UK.

Simon served as Océ-Australia Managing Director since 2009 and then as Director of Canon Professional Print (CPP) since 2013.

While feeling passionately about the CPP business in Australia, it was a personal decision for Simon and his partner to relocate to the UK to raise their new baby daughter in the country of their upbringing.

Canon Australia welcomes, Mike Boyle who is replacing Simon as the new Senior General Manager for CPP. Mike is no stranger to the print industry. Mike worked for Océ Australia since 1995, most recently as Business Unit Director Wide Format Printing Systems before relocating to Océ’s European headquarters in the Netherlands in 2010 to assume the role as International Marketing Director.

 

Mike a native Australian, brings with him his deep domain knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand markets combined with his vast experience in print markets across the globe.

 

For Mike its business as usual, focusing on the strategy to enhance client intimacy within the business and further developing the strong relationships that Canon and Océ have built with its customer base.

 

Mike Boyle acknowledges Simon’s role in making the transition from Océ to Canon. “Simon has led the business through a challenging period of integration while setting us on path to towards achieving our goal of bringing us closer to our customers.  With this foundation in place, I am committed to realising this vision and making Canon the partner of choice for the future.” Mike Boyle officially commences his role as Director of Canon Professional Print in January 2014.
