Roland DG report a busy and successful Visual Impact Image Expo with the launch of the new SolJet Pro4 XR-640 Printer/Cutter stealing the show.

Visual Impact Image Expo (VIIE), held in Sydney on 24-26th September 2012, was a great success by all reports and it was no different for Platinum sponsors Roland DG Australia. Roland DG held a dominant presence at the event, supported by many authorised Roland dealers who displayed a range of wide format and signage solutions.
Roland DG at VIIE 2012 SydneyRoland DG used this major industry event to showcase the new SolJet Pro4 XR-640 Printer/Cutter with the new Eco-Sol Max 2 ink.  This next generation production printer, holding pride of place at the main entrance of the show, was a major attraction and Roland DG confirmed a large number of sales and many more solid leads to follow up.  A big draw card for the XR-640 was not only the excitement of a new release, but also the chance for anyone who purchases an XR-640 between now and PacPrint 2013, to win a Ford XR6 Ute or Sedan.
"There was a lot of anticipation and build up for the release of the XR-640, so we were excited to showcase it at a major industry event such as VIIE" said John Wall, Sales Director at Roland DG Australia. "We were extremely pleased with the response to the XR-640 from the industry and are looking forward to many successful installations over the coming months."
The VersaUV LEJ-640 flatbed UV printer also captured plenty of attention, with the amazing special effects possible from this versatile hybrid flatbed. The full 3 year extended warranty, including print heads and LED UV Lamps was also of interest to prospects. Several sales of the unit were closed for this device for customers looking to get into the UV flatbed and roll-to-roll market.
As part of the "I'm a Roland User" campaign a number of Roland users were available at the stand to offer anyone a genuine opinion about their experience with Roland DG and the products. This was a great success with many people taking up this opportunity to chat to these users and gather useful information to make an informed decision about their next investment.
RolandClinic also continued to be popular, with many people stopping to have a chat to Roland technicians about many topics from matching colours to making the most of their Roland product and the workflows around it.
