A gala Starleaton party during PrintEx/VIIE last week, saw PMP Digital’s Brett Maynard win a luxury cruise for two aboard the MV Rhapsody of the Seas, departing Sydney in November.
So delighted was Brett that he was straight onto his mobile after the presentation to give his wife in Canberra the happy news. Consolation prizes of sail-training experiences on Sydney Harbour were won by Doug and Zac Knight of Gothic Creations. Six other door

prize winners received bottles of 2001 St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon – all part of a fun evening aboard the South Steyne floating restaurant moored at Cockle Bay. Prizes were drawn and presented by Lea Eaton.
“Our goal was to say a big ‘thank you’ to customers and staff for contributing to Starleaton’s growth and success,” said CEO Peter Eaton, “We have been in business for 33 years and when we turned 30, we intended to host a function but became swamped with work, so this is a catch-up party, with so many customers in town for the exhibitions it seemed perfect timing.”
The party on the former Manly Ferry, South Steyne, was attended by over 100 staff, customers, suppliers and media and was a very jovial affair, with just a short period for presenting Starleatons’ news which includes a head office move for NSW coupled with a trebling of warehouse space; and relocation of the Perth, WA branch. Peter Eaton emphasised the family values that Starleaton adheres to, with good old fashioned service and sticking to the company’s promises.
As an added bonus, two sketch artists were hired to draw caricatures of as many guests as they could get to sit still for a few minutes, a lasting graphic memento of the evening.
A clearly delighted Ben Eaton, General Manager, commented; “The night was a real success and very enjoyable – maybe we should make the Starleaton party a feature of each trade show!”
