Phillip Burns from industry supplier DES Pty Ltd has entered "Around the Bay in a Day 2010" and committed to ride 210 klm in one day to fund raise to help disadvantaged Australian children get support through The Smith Family's education and learning programs.
This is his biggest single ride to date and a reasonable challenge. To raise money for charity in the past Phillip has shaved his head for cancer, walked and participated in various activities to raise money and this charity effort is worth your support. As they say 'Do it not for me, but for our children'.
Statistics are that one in seven Australian children are living in disadvantage and do not have access to the same educational, health or life opportunities that many of us enjoy and often take for granted. Without support, the disadvantage they experience today is likely to continue into adulthood - and on to the next generation.
Please take a moment to view Phillip's online fundraising page and help him exceed the fundraising goal. It is easy and will take no time at all, and remember even the value of a coffee will make a difference just donate online via your credit card by clicking on the link below:

All information is secure and all donations will be sent electronically to The Smith Family. A tax deductible receipt will be sent to your inbox once the donation is verified.
The Smith Family is a national, independent children's charity committed to helping disadvantaged Australian children by unlocking opportunities through education and learning.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Phillip Burns
A note from the editor: We don't normally publish or promote these kind of appeals but this one is really worth supporting and comes from our industry. Can I suggest that you challenge your peers to equal or better your own donations. Thanks, Brian Stickland
