LaCie has announced the next generation line of their network storage devices for small to medium-sized businesses.
The new models include: LaCie d2 Network 2 (single disk), LaCie 2big Network 2 (two disks) and LaCie 5big Network 2 (five disks). Capacity ranges from 1TB to 10TB.
Faster data access with new 1.2GHz processor for the best performances: up to 68 MB/s (read) - up to 5x faster than v1, LaCie are claiming that these drives are now the fastest on the market.
The drives allow users to share files instantly or back up any PC or Mac on a network. They also feature an automatic software update. Time Machine compatible, a full version Manager Pro software are also included for both Mac and PC.
Furthermore, these solutions feature customisable widget like admin interface to manage groups, shares and email alerts. Managing users, groups and shares have never been so easy.
Finally, with their power-saving modes, scheduled deep sleep and RoHS compliance, this line is designed to be eco-friendly too.
