Print Service Provider Next Printing in Sydney’s St. Peters is the second company in Asia Pacific to purchase the HP Scitex FB7500 ultra-high speed UV digital screen printer.

General Manager Romeo Sanuri said he was confident the HP Scitex FB7500 “will give us an edge over our competitors. We have always been committed to employing the latest technology as a point of differentiation in the marketplace. Our new Scitex machine is the solution we have been looking for”.

Next Printing, the digital print division of the highly successful commercial photo finishing company, Photo King, was one of the few large format producers to install UV flatbed technology when it opened for business in 2004. “At the time everyone was using solvent, but we chose to go with the UV solution sending a message to the market that we are at the cutting edge”.

The company outputs a range of signage products including exhibition display graphics, retail merchandising solutions and promotional materials. The HP Scitex FB7500 is Next Printing’s fourth UV flatbed printer.

“We’ve been waiting for this printer ever since HP announced it was developing technology that would shift screen-printing from an analogue to digital platform. HP’s commitment to R&D impressed us. And its sound reputation gave us confidence to partner with HP in this major undertaking”.

But before the company committed to the purchase it did its homework. “We looked at a variety of printers, but this is the only one that met our objectives and has the capacity to deliver the return on investment we expect”.

Next Printing has removed two older printers to make way for the HP Scitex FB7500, which is being installed this month.

“We have a clear objective for this printer – to shorten the turnaround time. If we can improve on delivery times, then our clients can promote their products and services faster. We service highly competitive markets such as visual merchandising, entertainment and television where speed to market is critical. With the new Scitex we will be able to provide a vastly improved service that also assures quality.”

Running at 500 sqm per hour Sanuri said it is hard to comprehend how fast the printer is. “It moves at an incredible speed, and the quality is also very good. We’ve always prided ourselves on producing high quality print, fast.  When the FB7500 is commissioned we will be able to produce much greater quantities and still deliver on our customers’ expectations for quick turnaround”.

FB7500The installation will also enable Next Printing to expand its market reach. “This is the first true digital alternative to screen-printing. We believe this technology is as revolutionary as the HP Scitex Turbojet – when that was released onto the market it immediately raised the bar. The HP Scitex FB7500 will do likewise”.

Next Printing’s Managing Director Tom Tjanaria travelled to Melbourne to view the printer in action at Magnify Media. “Tom was very impressed. It didn’t take us long to make our decision,” concluded Sanuri.
