Océ are sponsoring the fast and furious 2010 V8 Supercar Championship season.
Océ has linked up with the up and coming Kelly Racing Team, providing design graphics equipment to produce signage for the team’s Holden V8 cars as well as support vehicles and pit displays.

Kelly Racing Team has taken delivery of an Océ CS9160 wide format printer and an Océ SC Pro Cutter to produce the signage, while an Océ CS193 colour printer is being used for internal documentation.
The Kelly boys, Todd and Rick, are both graduates of Holden’s Young Lions programme and decided to race under their own banner in 2009 coming a creditable sixth in the team event in their debut year.
Commercial Director of Kelly Racing, Nick Ryan, says the team is on course to do even better this year following its inaugural season in 2009.
“We are confidently predicting more podium finishes in more races with an excellent team, which, as well as Todd and Rick, includes Jason Bargwanna and Tony Ricciardello, who are well known to Supercar enthusiasts.”
Ryan says the team selected Océ equipment as part of its policy of associating with quality brands.
“Kelly Racing Team is approaching the V8 Supercar Championship as a totally professional exercise. As a result we were looking for speed and quality in our graphics and decal printing equipment, just as we do in our cars,” he says.
“It’s proved to be an excellent partnership and we are looking forward to a long-term relationship with Océ.”
In the Supercar arena, Océ will be competing head to head with Roland DG, which has signed a similar arrangement with the Jim Beam Racing team.
Océ-Australia’s Business Group Manager for Display Graphics and Imaging Supplies, Dale Hawkins, says Océ was not previously aware that Roland DG would be a sponsor in the Championship but their announcement set the scene for some friendly rivalry.
“I can say right now we expect the Kelly Racing Team to prove more than a match for them, and I’m happy to put a small wager on that result,” he says.
