The company, barely six years old is a great showcase for HP printers with the focus last night on the mighty FB7500 but also on show were the HP Designjet L65500, the HP Scitex FB950 and the HP Scitex Turbojet, all working 7 days a week to keep up with the growing demand for the various products that this campany produces.
John Duplock Managing Director Magnify Media said of his new printer, “I am a little bit speechless to tell the truth. The machine has absolutely exceeded my expectations. This installation completes our business. We can now confidently say we are a screen printing business built on a digital platform. There is nothing we can’t do”.
Bruce Caldwell, HP Scitex sales and marketing manager opened the event and began to describe how the relationship between Magnify Media and HP had blossomed over the last 3 and a half years. HP had originally and temporarily solved John's problem of production commitments and deadlines three years ago with the installation of HP Scitex Turbojet.
However the company continued to grow which predictably led to further meetings between Bruce and John. The outcome of those meetings resulted in Asia Pacific's first HP Scitex FB7500 installation.
Shane Lucas, Director HP Graphic Arts South Pacific said, “this is a key installation for HP across the Asia Pacific and Japan, as it is the first machine for the region. The release of the HP Scitex FB7500 further enhances HP’s ability to move customers into digital convergence particularly in the traditional screen print market”.
In 2003 Magnify Media was a one-person operation with two HP Designjet 5500 printers producing posters from a home office. With the installation of the HP Scitex FB7500 printer the company is now one of the largest HP sites in the region.
“The evolution of Magnify Media is testament to how HP’s digital print technology can help our customers drive growth in their business,” said Lucas.
Following the speeches, the large contingent of visitors was divided into two groups for a tour of the factory and to see the machines in action.
