Agfa Graphics to relocate its Oceania headquarters.

At a press conference held in Agfa Graphics’ suite at PacPrint 09, Frederik Dehing Agfa’s Managing Director for the European imaging giant’s Oceania Region announced that it would relocate it’s regional headquarters to reflect the geographic centre of the Melbourne Print and Graphic Arts industries.

scoresby.gif“For some time now we have operated our distribution centre out of Scoresby and we quickly realised the obvious advantage a location that could utilise Melbourne’s new road infrastructure such as the EastLink and M1 freeways. To be able to support our customers in a timely manner is of utmost importance to us, so when the opportunity became available to move our sales, administration and service businesses to the same location we knew this was a decision that would greatly improve our customer service levels”

The purpose built facility at Scoresby in Melbourne’s east is considered the geographic heart of the Melbourne printing industry. “We are much closer to most of our customers, plus the fact that we can take advantage of Eastlink for the more remote suburbs means that our customer response will be much quicker”

Agfa will vacate its current facility in Burwood in coming months with a plan to be fully operational at the new site by late September.
