Konica Minolta logoIn a launch that promises to roll out all the superlatives – next-generation, ultra-efficient, super-reliable, highly versatile – there is much to like about this latest press series, which now enables Konica Minolta to move into the 5-colour production Print Cut-Sheet market, with five-colour CMYK + white toner.

Grant Thomas, Product Marketing Manager, Production Print, Konica Minolta Australia, says: "We are committed to enhancing our customers’ creativity and digital transformation. This press series is engineered for efficiency, streamlining operations with technology that helps operators to work smarter and to considerably reduce the number of manual adjustments they need to make, thereby increasing production speeds, all while adding new colour options through the addition of white in the new high-opacity CMYK + white toner.” Grant ThomasNew press automation a game-changer says Grant Thomas

Achieving print speeds of up to 140 pages per minute (ppm) and 120ppm, respectively for the AccurioPress C14010S and C12010S, the presses also have an Intelligent Quality Optimiser Unit (IQ-601), which includes a new inline spectrophotometer for precise colour profile creation and which automatically adjusts image positioning to eliminate front/back alignment errors for professional consistency with every print run.

The IQ-601 also features six Intelligent Media Sensors that identify paper type, weight, and size instantly for optimal print settings every time without additional operator input. The sensors measure the paper size of the substrates and detect even the slightest variations in paper cutting size.

Thomas adds: “This is a game changer in automated print management and the various new operator assistance tools all lead to fewer touchpoints so that customers can optimise their workflows and reduce downtime.”

IQ 601IQ-601 enables precise colour profile creationThe presses support a broad range of media, from 52gsm up to 450gsm paper including envelopes, embossed paper, polyester, and cut-sheet labels, opening the door to a wide variety of applications. The new high-opacity CMYK + white toner achieves exceptional coverage in a single pass, making it ideal for premium applications, further expanding offerings for the new models and helping businesses tap into new revenue streams.

For larger and more demanding projects, the presses accommodate long sheets up to 1,300mm simplex and 900mm in duplex, providing plenty of flexibility for customers, whether it’s for banners, book covers, or specialty items.

Graphic arts customers such as print service providers, offset printers, digital printers, and direct mail will all benefit from the AccurioPress C14010S and C12010S models. Other potential market segments include enterprise document printing, such as central print rooms and in-plant print operations.

The official Australian launch of the AccurioPress C14010S and C12010S will take place on Tuesday 20th May at 10:30 am AEST on the first day of PacPrint at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
