Trade shows, both local and international, are excellent ways of garnering information, trends, ideas and sometimes, great deals on equipment. 2025 is kicking off with a hectic schedule for those wanting to travel in the first half.
You can't attend them all but the underlined websites can be informative. Here's ten international trade shows happening in the first half of 2025. Emboldened shows have know Australian/New Zealand participants.
Heimtextil - On now, January 14th-17th, Frankfurt Germany - World's main expo for contract and specality textiles incl. digitally-printed home decor. Too late to attend from ANZ but click underlined website link for what's happening.
Empack - January 22nd - 23rd, Ferienmesse Zürich, Switzerland. The Swiss are very big in packaging technologies. Glean information and trends from website, or go there if you are in packaging and have time.
Impressions Expo, January 22nd-25th, Long Beach California. Still going ahead despite the dreadful fires. Impressions focuses on decorated apparel only, and that means DTF, DTG, Screen, Dye-Sub etc. The show travels all over the USA.
Packaging Innovations & Empack - February 12th - 13th NEC, Birmingham, UK. Packaging event for the big brands of the world. Assiiated with the Empack series.
Sign China - February 17th - 19th, Shenzhen, China. Huge signage and LED show popular with Australians. ASGA personnel will be on the ground to assist ANZ visitors. Easy to get to (visa-free) via Hong Kong and to get around.
Sign & Digital UK - February 23rd - 25th, NEC, Birmingham, UK. Co-located with Printwear & Promotional, the UK's main signage, display and textile/apparel event
Hunkeler Innovation Days - February 24th - 27th, Lucerne, Switzerland. Brings together all the major players in high volume web and sheetfed digital printing plus finishing and binding technologies for books, DM, transactional and commercial print.
DTF Expo - April 1st-2nd, Mesa, Arizona, USA. Yes, an expo just for the burgeoning DTF sector. Some key learnings to take away from this if you are into DTF.
FESPA Berlin - May 6th - 9th, Berlin, Germany. The Big global expo, conference and awards that fluctuates around European cities every 2 years and highly populay with Australians and New Zealanders.
ChinaPrint - May 15th - 19th, International Exhibition Centre, Beijing. China's drupa-sized print & packaging exhibition held every 4 years. It's a whopper of a show with all the big global brands there. Click 'translate page' for English on website.
PacPrint - May 22nd - 26th, Olympic Park showground, Sydney. The big one for our own ANZ/Oceania region. Being held for the first time in Sydney after decades in Melbourne. Looking fantastic already - and very digital!
