Epson released a combination DTG/DTF printer in January but, as all DTF-ers know, a dedicated Powder/Shaker/Dryer DTF line is preferrable. At Printing United, Epson previewed the real deal, due to launch in Q1 2025.

Epson created quite a buzz at Printing United last week, with a sneak peek of their new DTF roll-to-roll printer based on the SureColor F6470 dye sub printer (F6460 in Australia), supporting up to 900mm media width. The five-color printer shown uses Epson's proprietary pigment ink for DTF imaging and was demonstrated with an EZ-Jet Powder/Shaker/Dryer made by Equipment Zone. It's unknown if it will become available with only this configuration but there is no reason to believe it will not work with other powder/shaker/dryer configurations.

Epson plans to focus on providing the printer, ink and film, relying on their distribution network for the rest of the DTF setup. Look for an official announcement from Epson and product launch around January 2025.
