Konica Minolta in Europe has announced a new label press in its successful AccurioLabel series. The AccurioLabel 400, is capable of faster speeds up to 39.9 mpm and higher uptime through more durable components. AccurioLabel 230 machines installed can be upgraded to 400 spec. In Europe, Konica Minolta claims a 28% market share in 2021. Globally, the company installed its 1,000th AccurioLabel 230 in 2022.

Kodak unveiled the KODAK PROSPER 7000 Turbo Press, a full-colour perfector, at its inkjet facility in Dayton, Ohio. Kodak's new inkjet web press uses Stream Inkjet Technology, offering printing speeds of up to 410 linear mpm or up to 5,523 A4 ppm, which the company claims is almost 35% faster than its nearest competitor. Although a major offset plate supplier, Kodak sees a shift in more long run jobs from conventional printing processes to inkjet.

Industrial printer shipments declined 2.1% year over year in the first quarter of 2022 (1Q22), as the market faced a range of supply chain issues, according to new data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Industrial Printer Tracker.
