Mutoh has shown off a new small format flatbed printer at FESPA, the XpertJet 1462UF. Like its siblings the XPJ 661 and 461UF models, it is mainly aimed at the industrial print market. This represents an expansion of Mutoh’s existing range of A2+ and A3+ table top printers and has a bed of 1470 mm x 740 mm, which roughly equates to A1+ size. FESPA has announced the winners of the 2023 FESPA Awards during a VIP ceremony at FESPA Global Print Expo 2023. Sole Australia - New Zealand winner is Chris Duke's & Mark Burley's All About Graphics (AAG) of Abbotsford, Vic, who also collected the 'Best of the Show' gong. Across the categories, this year’s awards received 210 entries from print service providers (PSPs) and sign-makers looking to showcase outstanding examples of print and signage.

The swissQprint production team celebrated a special printer at company headquarters in Switzerland: the thousandth Nyala machine, due to be finished and delivered in June. The 3.2-metre-wide flatbed printer has been a success since its launch eleven years ago.

EFI’s new Nozomi 14000 SD single-pass printer for sign and display graphics being showcased at this week’s FESPA is due to be released later this year. EFI has also announced new UV LED inkjet inks for thermoformed 3D applications.

Canon has launched six new models in its Arizona 1300 flatbed printer series, the 1340/1360/1380 GTF and 1340/1360/1380 XTF, all featuring new FLOW vacuum system technology. Canon also announced new PRISMAelevate XL software that helps print textured effects with elevation up to 2mm.
