For a traditionally small regional show, the Visual Impact Brisbane show last week packed a heavy punch maybe reflecting the growth that has taken place in the Queensland industry over the last few years.

All shows have their peaks and valleys regarding attendance but this one had fewer valleys. Peter Harper, the GM of Visual Connections and his team obviously did something right with VI Brisbane. Thursday started slow but became busier during the afternoon. Friday the show was buzzing just about all day and Saturday we hear was an excellent day as well (this writer could not attend on the Saturday). We also understand that the show attracted quite a few interstate and foreign visitors as well.
So overall the exhibitors were generally very happy and whilst we don’t know the value of orders taken by the exhibitors, we saw many smiling faces.
There was a noticeable increase in the amount of Chinese exhibitors at this show, not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, probably bad for the local competitors but maybe good for the overall economy. Most had local distributors.

Wide Format Online shot several videos of the leading wide format printing specialists and these videos are provided primarily for the benefit of all those that never made it to the show and possibly of value to those that did and want a recap of the presentations.

The following videos are published in the order in which we are given the authority to publish, first off is....
