In a fiercely contested competition during VI Melbourne, Exotic Graphix from Victoria walked away with the great prizes on offer from the major sponsors.

The ASGA hosted its second National Wrap Master Challenge with the final taking place last  Friday at VI Melbourne. Five teams had won through to the national final:  Tint A Car (WA), SignCityNT (SA), Exotic Graphix (Vic), Bear Designs (NSW) and SS Signs (QLD).

Wrap competitionThe event’s key sponsors, Roland DG, 3M and Australian Visual Solutions, had made the event possible and Roland had again offered a SOLJET Pro4 XR-640 valued at $42000 as a first prize.

Lamination System’s Sign Master 1600 pro laminator was second prize with a 3M bundle pack third prize.

AVS had assisted ASGA over the months in the costly arrangement of hiring multiple cars for wrapping, as well as the graphic film print-outs for them all. Its staff had assisted across all State finals.

The national final created much spectator interest and, as it proceeded, Facebook recorded pictorially all teams as they showed their skills and teamwork.  After final judging, the Victorian team, Exotic Graphix, were pronounced the winners with a final corrected time, after the allotment of time penalties for any poor workmanship, of 2 hours 20 seconds. They had recorded a faster time than in their State final the previous day.  SS Signs were placed second with Bear Designs third, followed by Tint A Car and SignCityNT.
