FESPA has partnered with Practical Publishing, the organisers of Sign Africa and Africa Print, in expanding its global event portfolio into another key future print market. The show opens today, the 2nd of July 2014 in Joahnnesburg, South Africa.

The inaugural event incorporates the Sign Africa and Visual Communications Africa Expos, the region’s leading events for the sign industry. FESPA Africa provides an ideal platform for visitors to investigate available business ventures, innovative products, technology, applications and education programmes for the signage and display industries in the sub-Saharan region.
The organisers remind dedicated visitors to Sign Africa, that this event is now incorporated into FESPA Africa. ‘The Sign Africa expo will not be at the Sandton Convention Centre this year in August,’ said Charnia Yapp Director at Practical Publishing. ‘As announced last year, we have formed a joint venture with international exhibition organiser FESPA and launched FESPA Africa, which is set to be the largest expo in the region to date.’
Dyelan Copeland, Director at Practical Publishing said, ‘Sign Africa and Visual Communications Africa were successful, well-attended events. By partnering with FESPA, we have been able to rebrand them as FESPA Africa and offer an enhanced proposition and new experience for African business audiences, at a time when they need global expertise and insight to help them embrace the opportunities of wide format print. Johannesburg is the perfect location for FESPA Africa, with an excellent infrastructure and connections to other major cities in sub-Saharan Africa.’

FESPA Africa will see participants take part in the Avery Dennison/Roland 2014 Speedwrap Challenge, taking place daily on the exhibition floor.
