DTG Digital will bring to FESPA Hamburg their production M6 model and showcase all over, seam to seam industrial printing workflows with aqueous pigmented inks for fast fashion cotton garments.

The Global requirement for a simplified printing process enabling complete seam to seam printing has been requested by manufacturers and printers since the inception of DTG printing over a decade ago. To date, the equipment available to achieve this workflow has been extremely limited and priced beyond the expectations of most manufacturers. DTG Digitals unique blend of pre-treat, printing and curing stations deliver an affordable industry first.

According to Steve Richardson of Impression Technology the manufacturers of the DTG Digital branded printers, “Since the launch of the M6 approx. 18 months ago, we received many requests from printers looking for a true seam to seam DTG application for natural fabrics. Demand has been particularly strong from production oriented countries such as Turkey and large areas of Eastern Europe – while full coverage sublimation print systems are common for sportswear printing, it is restricted to polyester fabric only. Yet demand for the same application for natural fabrics was not being fulfilled.

"DTG can now offer a technology solution where fabric colour is not restricted to white only. Cotton is requested over polyester in many markets for a variety of applications such as fashion, home décor and promotional printing and the endless applications associated with each of these market spaces. “The design criteria was to address these industry demands whilst staying true to the core application of finished T shirt printing. The M6 offers this by way of maximising the efficiency of the large work space and the ability to print up-to 12 finished garments per print run or by seamlessly changing over to cut piece templates based on the garments original cutting patterns. Additionally the M6 can be configured as Dual CMYK, CMYK + White or an expanded colour gamut by introducing Orange, Blue, Grey and Red to the CMYK pallet. We believe the M6 versatility will open new markets not considered previously”
DTG Digital will be on stand B43 at FESPA in Hamburg and will showcase all over t-shirt printing along with a new curing dryer designed to complement this workflow and application. The M6 Industrial printer will be on display along with the company’s entry level industrial printer the M2.
