The Printlink entry, inspired by Maori carvings, was judged the Supreme Award Winner after earlier winning the Specialty Products category for Inkjet at the annual awards event held at TSB Arena in Wellington on Friday 3rd May. It was printed on a Screen Truepress WS3200 UV wide format printer.

"What a great concept and innovative use of this process,” said the judges. “A very effective 3 dimensional look has been achieved utilising a clever technique. A stand out in the Special Product area."

The client, Oranga Tamariki-Ministry for Children, is a government department in New Zealand responsible for the well-being of children.

In an emotional tribute, Pride in Print recognised Admark’s recently retired owner and managing director, Laurie Pilling, for his contribution to the New Zealand printing community over his 25 year-plus career. The company now has five locations throughout the NZ’s North Island.

“I was very humbled and honoured to be recognised at the Awards,” Pilling said. "The print industry has been an exciting and challenging one for me to be involved in, and I am proud to say that New Zealand printers are among the best in the world. All of the success I have enjoyed over the years at the various printing competitions has been as a result of the wonderful team we have at Admark, who consistently go above and beyond to provide our clients with technically excellent, award-winning work every day.”
