Mutoh has announced that it has added new models to its popular line of ValueJet Eco-Solvent Ultra roll-to-roll printers. Two new printers are now available, the ValueJet 1304 54” four colour printer and the ValueJet 1614 64” four colour printer. Both printers incorporate Mutoh’s award-winning Intelligent Interweaving print technology.

Application possibilities encompass production of outdoor posters & signs, banners, long-term backlit signage, building and construction announcements, POS displays, as well as durable prints for indoor use.

The 54" ValueJet 1304 printer complements the ValueJet 1204 (51”) at entry level position in the ValueJet range. ValueJet 54” has a media width of 1371.5 mm (54”) and a print width of 1336.5 mm (52.62”). Offering the same build and looks as the ValueJet 1204 printer, the new ValueJet 1304 printer is specifically targeted at starting-out sign makers as well as commercial quick printers looking to replace their existing water-based inkjet printer.

The enhanced optional take-up system will enable motorised roll-up of finished prints up to 30 kg.

The 64" ValueJet 1614 printer model replaces Mutoh’s existing ValueJet 1604 model. The machine has a media width up to 1625 mm (63.97”) and a print width up to 1615 mm (63.58”).

ValueJet 1614 offers an increased ink capacity up to 440 ml per colour, giving a lower production cost per square metre printed. A newly designed vertical ink cassette slot system enhances the printer ergonomics. ValueJet 1614 also offers increased print speeds up to 18.2 m²/h. The printer is specifically targeted at the sign and display market.

For roll-up of prints on the ValueJet 1614, Mutoh offers two optional unwinder/winder systems; the T-Winder 30 take-up unit for media rolls up to 30 kg and the unwinder/winder 100 system with tension mechanism for motorised unwinding/winding of media rolls up to 100 kg.

Mutoh ValueJet series printers incorporate a new generation “wide model” 1440 dpi 3 picoliter drop-on-demand piezo print head (8 lines of 180 nozzles). Each colour section of the new print head has two nozzle rows. 10 pre-defined print modes will enable output resolutions of 1440 x 1440 dpi, 1440 x 720 dpi, 720 x 720 dpi as well as 540 x 720 dpi.

Using Mutoh’s Eco-Solvent Ultra inks, the ValueJet printers can be used for printing onto a wide variety of popular uncoated vinyl and banner media. Prints made with the Mutoh Eco-Solvent Ultra inks are UV and water resistant for up to three years outdoors, without lamination. For fleet, floor graphics or other applications where prints are exposed to intensive mechanical stress or abrasion, lamination is recommended.

The ValueJet printer family incorporates Mutoh’s award-winning Intelligent Interweaving (i²) technology enabling a drastic reduction or even total elimination of the typical difficulties inherent to conventional digital inkjet printing, such as horizontal banding, step mismatch banding and the visible effects of missing or misfiring nozzles. One of the biggest benefits of this proprietary Mutoh print technology is that it offers predictable output quality, therefore bringing an unprecedented level of user comfort to the printer operator. Printer users will be able to print ideal quality images fit for purpose every time, in the shortest time.
