“We are very excited about our new south-east Queensland facility,” said Reece Moore, managing director of Trotec Laser Australia and New Zealand. “Not only does it have a larger warehouse and office space to enable us to offer an unparalleled customer experience, it’s also home to the most advanced laser demonstration and training facility in Australia.

“The new facility offers Trotec a vehicle for growth, not only in Queensland but also Australia, and the ability to offer more products and services to meet the evolving demands of our customers. The investment by the Trodat-Trotec Group is a testament to the success of the Australian subsidiary.”

A Trotec press release added: “Across Australia, Trotec Laser has experienced unprecedented growth since its establishment in 2008 in both laser and consumables. Trotec first established an office in Queensland in 2012 and since that time has well and truly outgrown the previous premises in Meadowbrook.

“The move to a brand new laser showroom and demonstration facility in Loganholme supports the laser technology manufacturer’s rapid business growth across Queensland, providing increased warehouse capacity and facilities to reinforce the growing Queensland sales and service operations.”

The new 550m2 facility offers two air-conditioned machine showrooms, one dedicated to the industrial sector, a laser inspiration room showcasing the latest materials, samples and manufacturing techniques, and training facilities.

The official opening was attended by Dr Norbert Schrüfer CEO of the Trodat Trotec Group, Simon Moore MD of Trotec Laser GmbH and Reece Moore MD of Trotec Laser Australia. Also on hand were Cameron Dick MP, Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, and Melissa McMahon MP state Member for Macalister.

Dick welcomed the new facility to Logan, saying the expansion would lead to local employment opportunities. “Queensland is proud to be a manufacturing state, and it’s growth like this that highlights the significant level of confidence we’re currently seeing in the local sector. I thank Trotec Laser for continuing to choose Logan, for creating more jobs, and for pushing a new and exciting agenda when it comes to advanced manufacturing.”
