Out-of-home (OOH) advertiser oOh!media says the integration of Adshel’s street furniture assets has extended the company’s audience reach to “well above 90 per cent of the Australian population.”

oOh!media bought Adshel from HT&E in June 2018 for $570 million after a bidding war with rival APN Outdoor, which itself has since been acquired by global giant JCDecaux for $1.12 billion.

Adshel, which has 21,000 ‘classic locations’ and 800 screens across Australia and New Zealand, has now been rebranded by oOh!media as Commute by oOh!

Latest audience data from researcher MOVE shows oOh!’s reach is now “unmatched by any other in the country through its diverse products which now includes the newly added Commute by oOh! offering made up of Street Furniture, Rail, Live and Immerse,” according to oOh! chief executive Brendon Cook.

“Our long-term strategy is to offer a diverse portfolio of media and advertising opportunities to reach the right audiences, at the right time, with contextually relevant creative,” Cook said. “The Commute by oOh! products, environments and audiences really builds upon our A World of Unmissable proposition, with brands being even more Unmissable during both the journey and at the destination.
