Ian Parsonson, CEO of Hexis Australia tells Wide Format Online that they had over 50 entries over the 3 days in Sydney with 2 Queenslanders and 1 from Adelaide taking out the 3 daily winner competitions for Sydney.

“It was great to see so many from interstate travel to compete in the Battle against the locals as well as many students who were there to Try A Trade.

Competitors vie for the best wrap at Sydney

Our 3 Hexis trainers commented on the skill level shown by all and said it was surprising how well many students who had never wrapped anything before handled the task.

“We also had several exhibitors including a full round with the guys from Auto Artisan Group having a try. It was good to see their apprentices trying to beat the boss (didn't quite make it).

“Chris from AAG was a finalist in the daily comp and apart from taking a Hexis stool, he donated the rest of his prize to charity.

“Overall the Battle this year at both Brisbane and Sydney has been a huge success and I'm sure it will be even bigger next year. Our Battle final was huge and stopped everyone around us.

The results:

Cameron from Gold Coast Wraps finished in just over 9 minutes and Dave & Sasha just got done in the 10 minutes allowed.

Judging was extremely close and came down to the tiniest of flaws and time overall before Cameron was announce victorious.

Our final placings were:- Cameron - Gold Coast Wraps 1st taking home $3500 in prizes plus a trip to France and visiting our Hexis production facility in Frontignan.

Sasha - SignRight Qld 2nd taking home $2500 in prizes.

Dave from DVES Qld 3rd taking away $1500 in prizes

A big thanks to Sylvene Poncet who travelled out from Hexis France to help out over the 3 days of the show and to all the Hexis Aust and Stickittome team who all worked hard to make our stands and the battle a big success."
