Spandex Australia has received HP’s “Best Channel Partner Year 2013, Large Format Production (L Series)” Award in Australia. The L Series consists of HP Latex 280 and 260 printers.

Appointed as a reseller in November 2012, Spandex’s national sales and support team has been quick to aggressively promote HP’s environmentally friendly Latex ink technology for the production of wide-format signage and displays.

Spandex HPLatex Award closeup“Our customers have noticed that HP Latex technology is unbeatable for backlit signage and delivers outstanding colour fidelity in all other applications,” says Spandex Managing Director and Vice President Alex McClelland. “We have put our best foot forward and got right behind Latex on both equipment and consumable sales and the results have been very pleasing. To have this acknowledged by HP with the Best Channel Partner of the Year Award for HP Latex L Series Printers is indeed an honour and rounded off our year with extra icing on the Christmas cake.”

HP’s Business Manager, Production Devices – Sign and Display James Gleeson says: “I would like to congratulate Spandex on this well-deserved award. It is an acknowledgement of the investment and success Spandex has achieved in the marketplace with HP Latex technology. We look forward to continued growth and our combined efforts in bringing the benefits of Latex technology to more customers in Australia.”

In June 2013, the reseller agreement was extended to include the sales and support of HP Scitex Flatbed UV Printers and 3.2 meter wide HP Latex Production Printers.

HP Latex inkjet printing technology for large signage and displays was first introduced in 2008 as an alternative to solvent ink printing. Its pigmented, water based inks contain a dispersion of polymer particles developed by HP, that result in vivid fine resolution colour images with outdoor permanence of up to 3 years un-laminated or 5 years with lamination . Because the inks are odourless, no special ventilation is required in operation and they are classified non-hazardous.

Alex McClelland concludes: “We at Spandex are looking forward to another successful year with HP in 2014.”
