Spandex Asia-Pacific and Hewlett Packard have joined forces in a partnership to bring the latest Latex, Flatbed UV and finishing technologies to the Visual Impact expo at Sydney’s Olympic Park from September 12-14.

Spandex was appointed as an HP Latex wide format distributor in late 2012 and the agreement was extended to include the HP Scitex industrial printers in June of this year.

“The distribution deal with HP is proving very successful,” says Alex McClelland, Spandex Managing Director and VP, “and we are building on this with the joint stand at Visual Impact. There will be working demonstrations of both HP printing and Spandex finishing equipment and the booth will be jointly staffed with our two companies’ personnel.”

Equipment set for showcasing at Visual Impact includes HP Latex 260 (1550mm) and 280 (2640mm) printers and an HP Scitex FB500 flatbed UV industrial machine. Spandex will also bring a Keencut cutting machine, a Summa cutting plotter and both hot and cold laminators. Spandex-supplied materials will be used for working demonstrations.

“More than ever, business is about close partnerships between suppliers and customers,” says McClelland. “We are delighted with the progress of the HP relationship in under a year and this translates to benefits for end user customers, who have two large international companies supplying the signage and display sectors at their disposal, with experts ready and willing to help Visual Impact visitors on any industry issues.”

Visual Impact Sydney takes place from September 12-14 at The Dome, 1 Showground Rd, Olympic Park and is open from 10am to 5pm each day except Saturday when it closes at 4pm. Pre-registration is available online at: www.viie.com.au
