Mimaki Australia have appointed Brad Creighton as their national sales and marketing manager, effective 2 September, 2013.

Brad joins Mimaki’s newly formed Australian subsidiary and will oversee the national distribution of Mimaki products through a country wide dealer network.

Brad pic“Mimaki Australia welcomes Brad Creighton as our National Sales and Marketing Manager”, said Hiroshi Okino, managing director. “I believe that Brad will bring with him a great understanding of the Australian market when he joins our existing team of experienced representatives to support Mimaki customers.”

Creighton is already well known in the industry from his 20 years of experience. 10 years of service with DGS, during which time he marketed, sold and supported Mimaki products across the country. Before that 10 years working inside the graphic and display industry, designing, producing graphical content.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Mimaki Australia,” Brad said. “One of the main lessons I have taken from 20 years in the graphic, sign and display industry is the constant evolution of technology which Mimaki has been an industry leader.

“Manufacturing leading products in various fields is no mean feat, but when these products change the way businesses think, produce and deliver, now that’s something special. Mimaki are changing industry attitudes about producing graphics and their forward thinking, progressive nature is, in my opinion unsurpassed - but I’m biased!” he said.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to offer continued support for Mimaki customers and resellers.”

Mimaki Australia are currently located in temporary offices in North Ryde while their Rydalmere headquarters are being refurbished.

“Forward planning is vital as we travel up the sales and service rollout strategy curve.” Brad said “Bigger premises are part of a strategy that will see our staff level grow from the current 6 to over a dozen in a few months time.”

Mimaki Australia plans to officially open the upgraded office at a launch function in October.
