“To increase market differentiation and add value to their existing and new customers, sign and display printing companies are constantly looking for ways to evolve their businesses,” said Gido van Praag, vice president and general manager, Graphics Solutions Business, HP Asia Pacific and Japan. “With the breakthrough combination of enhanced print quality, greater application versatility at industrial printing speeds now possible with HP’s new digital printing platforms, our customers have the tools to confidently expand into new markets and strategically grow their service offerings.”

Australia’s largest point of sale (POS) display and signage organization, Active-Adval, selected the HP Latex 3000 Printer as their single environment friendly solution to their various roll-to-roll output devices. The new installation will also enable the company to expand its capabilities and offerings to the market. Active-Adval is also the first in Asia Pacific to place an order for the newly available HP Scitex FB10000 Industrial Press which complements their large format digital and screen printing capabilities.(1)

“The new HP industrial printing platforms complete our flexible and rigid print offer, delivering cost efficiencies, whilst complementing our environmental sustainability effort,” said Stuart Gittus, Operations Director, Active-Adval. “The HP Latex 3000 supersedes all other reel to reel presses in our market, giving us the competitive edge in cost, quality, environment and speed to market. Being first to have the HP Scitex FB10000 in Asia Pacific means that we are also the first to address our client’s needs and the market demand for getting retail marketing displays into market super-fast, as well as allowing more time for the creative process.”

ABC Photosigns, a leading provider of real estate signage in Australia, is the first in the country to install the HP Latex 3000 Printer. The printer will enable ABC to provide its customers with a broader range of higher quality output at a minimum price premium, and at the same time, make a smooth and profitable transition from solvent to HP Latex ink technology.

New Zealand company, Juggernaut Graphics, is another firm believer of investing in technologies that result in the introduction of innovative customer solutions and provide a platform for continued growth.

“We saw the clear opportunity of being the first in New Zealand to install the new HP Latex 3000 Printer. It opens up greater application possibilities for us particularly in the exhibition and textile market and reaffirms our commitment to supporting customers’ evolving needs with strong technology investments,” said Ross Duffus, managing director, Juggernaut Graphics.

Solutions beyond products
In order to help customers be successful in their segments, HP focuses on building solutions beyond products, creating an ecosystem around its graphics technology. HP also announced today several new resources to help customers capture business growth opportunities in sign and display.

•    In November 2013, HP will launch its Application Academy, a one-off complimentary customized onsite training program for new and existing HP sign and display customers aimed at helping regional printing companies enhance their application knowledge for better business outcomes. The HP initiative involves the identification of customer knowledge gaps and tailoring training programs that will help result in positive improvements to their business.
•    HP is also expanding its Media Certification Program for HP Latex Inks to cover a larger number of third party media owners in the Asia Pacific region, providing HP Latex Printing owners with greater choice. The program makes it easy for HP users to select the right media by streamlining the media selection process and identifying the most appropriate substrates tested with HP Latex Inks and printers, including media engineered with ColorPRO Technology.  Approved substrates will feature a “Certified for HP Latex Inks” icon in the media solutions locator.
•    To help customers get the most out of their HP Latex investments, HP will offer a 20% discount for either a three- or five-day color management program with every purchase of the HP Latex 3000 or HP Latex 850 printers made between July 10 to 31, 2013 in the Asia Pacific and Japan.
