Rojo Pacific has been proudly associated with the Vinyl Council of Australia since 2010 and is a signatory of the VCA’s ‘Product Stewardship Program’. This participation see’s Rojo Pacific actively seeking the best formulations available from our suppliers to ensure the products fit with VCA’s best practice standards in Australia.

It also ensures the company incorporates life cycle thinking into our daily business activities and overlaying that thinking into our product range to ensure we have sustainable and environmentally sensitive products available to a print market with a growing environmental consciousness. Recently PVC ProductStewardship LogoHiResthe VCA has confirmed that Rojo’s banner range is meeting the PVC formulation commitment in relation to zero heavy metal content (lead, zinc, cadmium) which raises the safety standard of the products and enables greater scope for using the formulations in recycling.
Recycling solutions for PVC is another important part of the product stewardship program; this has been an interesting and challenging journey for Rojo Pacific working with the VCA to find solutions for PVC banner recycling. The journey has found Rojo engaging in different recycling trials and seeking overseas market information and technology options whilst providing useful usage data regarding how the local logistics would work based on local knowledge of the billboard display life cycle. More recently this work has resulted in interest from state government with independent due diligence being carried out to determine viability of a pilot program.
Moving forward Rojo Pacific will continue meeting Vinyl Council of Australia’s product stewardship goals and continue to explore PVC recycling solutions.

Rojo Pacific are exhibiting at Pacprint and details of this achievement can be discussed at the show.
