Flexa srl. of Italy has appointed Starleaton to distribute its range of cutting equipment in Australia and New Zealand.

At the recent Visual Impact/PrintCom exhibition in Sydney Flexa’s President Massimo Vettorazzo visited to cement the relationship and demonstrate the new Flexa Miura II x-y cutter.

Flexa MiuraII xy“Flexa has a long history in manufacturing excellent finishing equipment for the Sign and Display industry,” says General Manager Ben Eaton, “the range is very broad, from industrial roll cutters to manual bench-top machines so we are initially focusing on the new Miura II 1600mm and 2650mm models, which we know from the VIEE/PrintCom response, have good prospects here.”

The Flexa Miura x-y cutters use rotating cutting heads to cut in both directions, automatically creating cut-down sheets of any size from roll printed stock. Cutting can be by pre-set programming, optically-read trim marks or manually set via the LCD touch-screen. Advanced safety features ensure operators are protected. Virtually all materials up to 900gsm can be cut. It is ideal for sheeting roll-printed labels, signs, posters, photographs and so forth.

“We are delighted to extend our relationship with Flexa srl. to include the full range of cutting equipment, and can now offer all of the mechanized, automated cutting solutions made by this excellent engineering company. The Flexa range complements perfectly our existing range of SEAL lamination equipment”

Flexa srl. is located just north of Venice, Italy and has been established for over twenty years. Other products include PVC banner welding machines, reel rewinders, eyeleting machinery, pad-printing presses and equipment for the thermoplastic forming industry.
