Océ will promote the productive relationship between its award-winning Arizona flatbed inkjet printer series and the Océ ProCut cutting system at the forthcoming Visual Impact Expo in Sydney, illustrating the powerful features of both units.
Acknowledged as the best-selling flatbed printer in the world, the Océ Arizona range this year notched up its 3,000th sale for Océ worldwide. Over 100 have been sold in Australia and New Zealand.
Steven Badger, Océ Product Manager for Design Graphics Systems, says that at VIIE an Océ Arizona 550 GT will be paired with an Océ ProCut 3200L cutting system, powered by Onyx Thrive software.
“The combination offers unmatched versatility for rigid and flexible media applications on white, transparent and coloured media and is great for such things as signage, architectural fitouts, exhibition graphics, prototyping, short run digital packaging, art reproduction, point of sale and fascia display panels,” he says.
The Océ Arizona 550 GT can produce more than 40 square meters of high quality printing per hour, or more than 100 full-size boards per eight-hour shift, utilising rigid substrates such as hard and soft foam board, plastic, glass, wood, cardboard, acrylic and styrene and flexible media including paper, film, vinyl and canvas.
It employs the same Océ VariaDot imaging technology used in other members of the award-winning Arizona family and is able to produce readable type as small as two point text in high definition mode.
Océ ProCut can be used to optimize basic trimming tasks for rigid substrates up to 50 mm thick such as foam board, plastic media, acrylic, X-Board and composite panel and flexible media in rolls or sheets, including paper, banner vinyl, self-adhesive vinyl and fabric. It can also be used for more complex jobs, such as contour-cutting of point-of-purchase displays, through-cutting and creasing of structural projects or kisscutting of production-quantity decals.
The Océ ProCut system is automatically driven by the fully integrated software modules that feature an intuitive best-in-class graphical user interface to reduce operator training time and significantly increase overall productivity.
Océ will also be showcasing the EngView Package Designer Suite, the award winning CAD software for packaging and 3D point of purchase applications. EngView software is fully integrated with Adobe Illustrator and has a library of resizable designs for an efficient design of quality standard packaging and displays.
