LaCie has announced it has boosted capacity of its Ethernet Big Disk to 2TB in a 2x7x11” solution. It has been designed to centrally store and share files over a network between Windows, Mac OS and Linux machines or keep an easily searchable digital library of up to 2,000 movies, music or photos and stream to a TV or other media device.
“The LaCie Ethernet Big Disk with new 2TB capacity is the largest network storage solution available for small office/home office customers,” said Marie Renouard, LaCie Product Manager. “No other solution on the market offers such large capacity in a single, compact device for easily storing your personal digital library.”
With its high-speed processor and optional jumbo frame support, the LaCie Ethernet Big Disk offers fast data transfer rates on the network. It can be used as a shared central repository over Ethernet or as a personal hard drive off-network over USB. The second USB port can be used to expand capacity over the network by connecting an additional hard drive.
