“Liquid coaters have many advantages over film laminators” says Neil Gomez, Anitech’s business development manager, finishing products “One great plus factor is the ability to recycle the finished product like normal paper since a laminated finish means that neither the substrate nor plastic laminate can be recycled.”
The model on show at VIIE will be the AniDigi-UV24R2T, a 610mm wide system that is the worlds first fully automatic micro format UV coater and primer. The fully automatic operation includes cleaning, a filtered recirculation system and enclosed media path for dust free prints on papers up to 400gsm with a gloss, matt, lustre or primer coating.
The AniDigi coaters are two-in-one systems for UV and water based liquid primer coatings and they are compatible with most offset, digital, and ink jet equipment including Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, HP Indigo, Konica Minolta, Shinohara, Komori, Ryobi and Heidelberg.
Designed for simple operation, the warm-up, preparation, finish selection, coating and cleaning are fully automated and controlled through the user-friendly touch screen and two separate coating paths allowing the use of both matt and gloss finishes or primer in the lower coating station. With its selection of different textured rollers for extra finishing the AniDigi range are well suited for products such as business cards, brochures, postcards, catalogues, flyers and custom designed print products.
The five models and sizes are AniDigi-UV13RFT 33cm, UV17R2T 43cm, UV20R2T 50cm, UV24R2T 60cm and the UV36R2T 90cm.
“The AniDigi coaters have product features not available in other machines” continues Neil “The ability to use gloss or matt coating plus the optional textured rollers can add value to finishing. There is an optional high speed stacker and feeder which comes standard on the 13” model and a thin substrate air knife is standard on the 24” model. All machines have a small foot print for restricted print shops, castors for maximum maneuverability and all models conform to Australian safety standards.”
Unique to Australia, AniDigi UV coating systems are backed directly by the supplier and Anitech’s national skill and technical knowledge base.
