Océ’s new ColorWave 600 Poster Printer will power a PrintEx11 competition called Think Pop Art, organised by PrintEx11 and its host bodies – GAMAA and Printing Industries.
Aimed at marketers, advertisers and print buyers, as well as government and large corporates, the objective is to inform and educate these sectors about the power, creativity, cost-effectiveness and sustainability of print and to stimulate demand.
Entrants in Think Pop Art will be invited to upload poster artwork on a theme of their choosing which will be reproduced on a Power of Print website and, during Printex11, printed on the Océ Poster Printer for display onsite at the (90m2) Power of Print Showcase at PrintEx11. The Océ Colorwave 600 Poster Printer will be stationed in this area to print the posters.
Invitations to participate in the contest will be issued to more than 20,000 previous visitors to Printex and PacPrint.
Users and visitors to the website will be encouraged to vote for their favourite poster with a cash prize of $500 awarded to the winner. Organisers hope that the contest will stimulate entries from designers, advertising professionals and students.
Entrants in the Think Pop Art contest can upload entries at http://popart.printex.net.au/
