HP today announced that it has further enhanced its portfolio of large-format digital printing solution offerings at its HP Scitex Regional Solution Centre in Hong Kong.
Print Service Providers (PSPs) will now be able to experience the workings of a real production shop and simulate real life situations with the new installation of the HP Scitex FB7500 printer in the Centre. There already have been eight successful installations of the HP Scitex FB 7500 printer across the Asia Pacific region.
“The installation of the HP Scitex FB7500 printer at the HP Scitex Regional Solution Centre is part of HP’s commitment to providing customers with the broadest portfolio of large-format digital printing technology and end-to-end solutions,” said Martin Carballo, Director, HP Scitex – Graphic Solutions Business, Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific and Japan. “Our customers will now have greater access to HP’s latest technology which will allow them to make better informed decisions when it comes to selecting a digital printing solution that is suitable for their needs.”
Key features that PSPs can look forward to from the installation of the HP Scitex FB7500 printer in the Centre include a specialised and comprehensive training curriculum for engineers and machine operators and for the first time a complete E2E solution training for graphic production on both flexible and rigid substrates.
E2E solution involves an automated campaign management of web ordering and tracking of job submission through Mediawide solutions which provides a complete automated colour management solution to simulate different colour profiles of alternate technology (like offset, screen and packaging) to a complete automated finishing and cutting solution through EskoArtwork. PSPs would be able to experience first hand the full workings of a production shop and what it encompasses in terms of substrates requirements and other criteria at the Centre.
Signage PSPs will also have access to HP’s unrivalled digital print alliance eco-system that have been designed to work seamlessly with the HP Scitex FB7500 printer to produce the best possible digital print works. Alliances in the eco-system include:
Mediawide - the web to print workflow partner
Esko Graphics – the finishing partner
GMG – provides a complete colour management workflow
Media Alliances: Qualified media substrates that have already been tested for compatibility and ease of use with the HP Scitex FB7500 printer. Media alliances include companies such as Avery Dennison, International Paper, Interwrap and Alcan
Magnify Media based in Melbourne, is one of the leading PSPs in Australia. The company started in 2002 with a single HP Designjet printer operating out of the founder - John Duplock’s home. Since then, Magnify Media’s evolution into one of the leading PSPs in Australia is a testament to the great digital print work the company is delivering. Magnify Media installed their first HP Scitex FB7500 printer in October 2009. They installed their second HP Scitex FB7500 printer a year later in December 2010.
John Duplock, Managing Director, Magnify Media, said, “We didn’t expect to put a second HP Scitex FB7500 printer in that quickly, but we have literally been overwhelmed by customer demand and we have got worked lined up on the existing HP Scitex FB7500 printer. It’s incredible how successful it has been for us.” “Since the installation of the company’s first HP Scitex FB7500 in October 2009, our turnover has almost doubled. That’s how massive an impact this machine has had on our business.”
