DGS Mimaki has signed on with Brad Jones Racing for some major short term sponsorship over 10 days of heavy duty V8 Supercar racing.

Mimaki signage is to be displayed on all three cars in two race meetings, beginning with last weekend’s Clipsal 500 and finishing with this week’s Australian Grand Prix being held at Albert Park from the 24th to the 27th Match.

DGS Mimaki have committed to take the windscreen banners on all three BJR Commodores (Jason Bright, Jason Bargwanna and Karl Reindler) in addition to securing the naming rights support of the bonnet on Bargwanna’s #14 entry.

BJR and Mimaki have enjoyed a continuous relationship and as Brad Creighton Mimaki sales manager notes. “Our long term commitment has not changed as this has involved the supply of digital printing equipment and consumables, this is extra sponsorship on top of what DGS has already committed to.

“We have had an excellent working relationship for well over three years now and this extra commitment allows DGS to be a more prominent sponsor for a couple of races, something that works really well for both parties.”

“Both race meetings are televised,” Brad continues “which gives DGS Mimaki plenty of high profile exposure on television, newspaper and other media outlets, something that is very difficult to obtain from traditional industry sources. The better the team goes during these events the bigger the publicity and this will be a major benefit to the Mimaki brand.”

Racing team owner Kim Jones also spoke of the historical relationship between the two organisations..
“When we started wrapping and printing our own cars, Mimaki has been supplying the machine to do that. Now they’ve stepped up to the mark for a couple of races.

“It’s just a toe-in-the-water exercise for them at the moment. They are expanding and getting bigger and bigger. They are one of the key players in the industry, so it’s good to have them on board as a bigger name and have more signage on the cars.”

DGS Mimaki confirms this future vision, noting that the current arrangements are just for the Clipsal and the Grand Prix races and they will see where this takes them in the future.
