Roland DG Australia, a leading provider of wide-format inkjet printers, printer/cutters and 3D milling and engraving solutions, has recently made some strategic organisational changes to the company.
Mr. John Egan, Chairman and Director of Roland DG Australia Pty Ltd, decided to retire at the end of 2010. As the founder of the company in 1988, John has been an integral part of the company and will definitely be missed. John made significant contributions to the management team and direction of Roland DG in Australia and New Zealand, including the music division, Roland Corporation. Roland DG would like to thank John for his

contribution and friendship to the people in the company.
Marc Margetts, Managing Director of Roland DG, commented "I am honored to have been mentored and directed by John during my 20 years at Roland DG. John has always offered direction based on solid experience and business acumen and sometimes "the devil's advocate" approach to business decisions, which in reflection assisted me to build a strong team. I would personally like to thank John and wish him all the very best for the future in his retirement".
Roland DG has also made important management changes to position itself for continued growth in 2011:
• John Wall has been appointed as Sales Director. In this new role John will take on a more strategic role within Roland DG and will be working closely with Sales, Business Development, Service and Marketing teams.
• In the Service area, Daniel Biddle has been appointed the role of group leader of the Service team. Daniel has over the last 4 years gained a wealth of knowledge and experience with the company and products. One of Daniel's first challenges is to further strengthen the service offerings and continue to provide the industry's best after sales care programme - Roland DG Care (www.rolanddgcare.com.au).
• Conrad Birkett, Roland DG's Business Development Manager has been strategically positioned within the company in an integral role to bring to market a number of new product offerings from Roland DG in the near future.
"The new appointments and internal re-structuring decisions were an important step to make as we prepare ourselves for continued growth in the coming years" said Marc. "This new structure re aligns the company to allow for continued change and adaptation to market and customer needs as we continue to forge new ground and show leadership within the industry."
Roland DG is looking forward to another successful year with a range of innovative and ground breaking new products planned for release throughout 2011, solidifying the company's brand position and market leadership.
