Italian manufacturer ATPColor has introduced a range of DTF (Direct to Fabric) printers . ATPColor is represented in our region by Project Engraving & Digital.
These DFP printers enable printing directly onto polyester and other fabric substrates for flags, banners, textiles, and soft signage.
Designed specifically to meet the demands of high-volume jobs, the system supports long production runs and lower production costs. However, a handy built in sublimation unit provides users with the flexibility of printing onto dye sub transfer paper for those projects that require it.
The new ATPColor DFP Series printers are principally designed to print onto open mesh fabrics such as flag material and sports textiles without marking the back side of the fabric with “blow-by” ink. A specially designed ink trough with sponge pad absorbs any ink that passes through the fabric.
The addition of an InLine Cutting System also means you can cut the fabric, while keeping it contained within the footprint of a single compact roll-to-roll printer system. The system uses cold knife technology and the cutter can be stopped or paused without causing defects in the printed fabric – a significant advantage over traditional hot knife systems.
