A new Durst Rho 800 HS will be installed shortly at the Mills Styrox premises in Sydney.
Replacing their ageing Inca Columbia machine, the Durst 800 HS promises to speed up production for this diverse signage company. Click here to read more about the company in a profile of Mills Styrox that we published recently.
"The Columbia has served us well but we are growing and we need to plan for the future", said Daniel Green, CEO of Mills Styrox. "The Durst is our largest investment in digital technology to date, so we wanted to be sure that our decision would be the right one both for our customers and business over the next few years. With a production speed of 216 sq metres per hour, we will have enough capacity to grow into in the short term," he continued.
The Rho 800 HS is an upgrade of the Rho 800 Presto and includes an impressive 80% speed improvement on the Presto whilst maintaining image quality.
The new model includes all the productivity and quality benefits associated with the award winning Rho 800 Presto whilst upping production speeds by up to 80%. It also includes a mechanism for continuous board feeding and mechanical front stops to allow for parallel printing of boards. The front stops also help to provide perfect print registration on long boards. It prints up to a maximum width of 250cm by any length.
Mills Styrox has also moved its Melbourne operation to new premises at Hallam.
