Outright winner of category 109 (Finishing Consumables) in the SGIA Product of the Year Awards –  is Seal-Neschen’s Print Shield Anti-Graffitti over laminate.

A clearly delighted Ben Eaton, General Manager of local distributor Starleaton says; “The SGIA Award is fantastic recognition of a very carefully developed product that protects outdoor advertising and signage and serves as a perfect weapon to combat vandals and urban ‘taggers’ who blight our cityscapes with their inappropriately-placed messages.”

Print Shield is an anti-graffiti film laminate comprised of high-performance, 1-mil, PCTFE film to protect UV or solvent-ink printed graphics from chemicals, paints, markers or acrylic coatings. It is even flame-resistant and offers the highest moisture barrier of any clear, flexible topcoat, sustaining an outdoor lifespan of more than seven years. Starleaton offers the material in 1372mm (54”).-wide x 45.7 metre long rolls.

If a Print Shield protected sign is attacked, commercial chemical cleaners and solvents can be used to easily remove the graffiti instead of re-printing the image.

Eaton concludes; “Print Shield also offers UV and fading protection for longer-term signage and is easily the most durable laminate in the Seal Print Shield range. It’s a great way for wide-format printers to add value and service to their clients’ imaging needs.”

PrintShield is one of several protective and anti-graffitti products, including liquid laminates, offered by Starleaton.
