PrintEx11 and the VIIE show next year will be co-located at Darling Harbour.
The Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA), organisers of PrintEx11 say that industry will be out in force next May in Sydney.
They report that the total space booked to date by GAMAA members has already exceeded the combined total space taken by GAMAA members at PrintEx07 and there’s more to come. This show of support demonstrates that PrintEx11 is shaping up as a pivotal exhibition in the industry’s recovery and a comprehensive showcase of positive future directions.
The impressive list of GAMAA members who have confirmed their participation as PrintEx11 exhibitors includes Heidelberg Australia, Agfa Gevaert, Currie Group, Ferrostaal Australia, Bottcher Australia, Canon, FujiXerox Australia and Fujifilm Australia, Dainippon Screen, manroland Australasia, GBC Australia, Kodak, Konica Minolta, Muller Martini Australia, Cyber Australia, DES, CPI Group and Aldus Engineering.
Mitch Mulligan, Chairman of the PrintEx11 Board, says GAMAA – which is a co-host of the event with Printing Industries and a major supporter of industry initiatives – represents the major suppliers of equipment and systems for the industry. “As such, their members form the backbone of any successful industry exhibition,” he points out.
With some 80% of floor space allocated more than seven months out from the event, Mulligan says the show is set to be one of the most successful ever – and the mood amongst the GAMAA members who have signed up is optimistic, with many seeing the show as a chance to help businesses make key decisions which will allow them to take advantage of the economic upturn.
“PrintEx11 comes at a critical time for the printing industry, as technology drives massive change, environmental concerns create enormous challenges and economic conditions present very real opportunities,” Mulligan says.
“GAMAA members are at the forefront of that change and feedback from them indicates that they consider PrintEx11 to be an invaluable opportunity for identifying technology that will make businesses more efficient and productive and opportunities to diversify and broaden business bases by adding new solutions and options.
“With a positive outlook, particularly in relation to other parts of the world, there is plenty of opportunity for the industry to move forward – but we need to do so on a platform that reflects today’s demands and today’s expectations in terms of issues like environmental responsibility,” Mulligan says.
“Clearly, GAMAA members will be the major source of these solutions.”
As well as equipment and systems vendors like the GAMAA members mentioned, PrintEx11 will showcase a range of consumables, peripheral systems and underpinning structures like workflow solutions, QA and environmental management, and more.
