With 4633 visitors (excluding the numbers recorded for the Retail Expo and POPAI shows) recorded to date for the VIIE/PrintWorks combined show, the organisers are rightly proud of the significant increase in numbers that the combined show has generated.

In general the show has been well received with many of the exhibitors leaving with hefty orders under their belts and the VISA organisation confirming that the co-location was a good decision for all.

The show also acted as the catalyst for the GASAA Printovation Awards, the ASGA Awards, POPAI Marketing Retail Awards, the Anitech Industry Legend Awards and a myriad of seminars from all sectors many of which attracted standing room only.

Congratulations to all of the Award winners. We attended the ASGA awards and a well deserved accolade must go to Michael Punch of ASGA and his team for the award ceremony aboard one of Sydney Harbours luxery cruise boats.

Individual exhibitor success stories are too numerous to itemise but it is almost certain that many of the vendors will want to promote some of the larger deals that have been recorded in our news columns in the coming weeks and months.

Avery Gamart GBC
Avery's ever popular vehicle wrapping demonstrations always drew the crowds Gamart, central to the VIIE shows GBC, a major force in supplying the graphic arts industry today

Visitors were able to see many sold signs on large machines, even machines that were not exhibited, such as the sold sign at Agfa Graphics for another sale of their M-Press Tiger to the Active Display Group.

HP used the show for a "world launch' of the new DesignJet Z6200. We have that covered elsewhere in the magazine as well as a video of the actual launch. The show was also used by several other vendors to offer a first showing of equipment.

It was good to see the printers exhibiting themselves in the PrintWorks, Retail Expo and POPAI shows.

For the benefit of those industry members that were unable to attend the show, Wide Format Online has included several videos of exhibitor presentations. We would be delighted to include other videos from exhibitors that we were unable to shoot due to  time constraints, should they be available. Please contact the publisher for details on how this should be supplied.
