epson_gs6000Visitors to the Epson stand (J7) will see a range of compatible media for the GS6000 which is 100% PVC free - with no chlorine or plasticiser content - reducing environmental impacts.

Also on the stand will be the 64 inch Epson Stylus Pro 11880 aqueous printer, the world’s first water based white ink printer the Epson Stylus® Pro WT7900, Epson’s fastest four colour printer the Epson Stylus Pro 9700, the economical B-510 inkjet printer which can cut A4 colour printing costs by up to 50%, Epson’s latest full colour label desktop printer the TM-C3400, and selections from Epson’s market leading range of transactional thermal receipt printers including the world’s fastest thermal receipt printer, the TM-T88V, and the affordable TM-T20.

The Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 is a 64-inch photo-quality printer equipped with Epson UltraChrome® GS eight colour inkset, a ground breaking solvent-based ink that is nickel-free and has fewer harmful VOC (volatile organic compounds) than other solvent based inks. Prints made with UltraChrome GS ink are virtually odourless, eliminating the need for expensive ventilation and air purification systems to protect the operators.

“One of the major problems that printing professionals have faced over the years has been the prevalent use of highly concentrated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in inks that, if used in an unventilated environment, can lead to major irritations of the skin and eyes,” said Craig.

Epson’s UltraChrome GS Ink is virtually odourless and utilises significantly less harmful VOCs. Importantly, it is a nickel compound-free ink – nickel compounds being recognised worldwide as creating hazards to people and the environment.
As a result, there is no need for forced ventilation systems with the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 and operators can use the printer without fear of skin or eye irritation in a broader range of working environments.
